Friday Feeling: How you can live a holistic and easy lifestyle

I’m all for limited medication and understanding how the body can heal itself. However, I have totally struggled with my health since I was about 5 years old. There have been decisions that I’m not able to make for myself as they where my parent’s choices and I’m so grateful for them keeping me a little more together than I could. However recently I have been put on medication by a therapist that believed that medicine was a better path for me than the holistic path that I have currently been taking.

Everyone understands that their body, mind and soul are interconnected. So it makes plain sense that if you look out for one it will lead you to a healthier lifestyle.

I’m not stupid, I know that I wouldn’t be prescribed medication if it wasn’t necessary however I’m going to try and live my holistic lifestyle as much as I can rather than a substitution.

So the things that I found really easy where switching the following:

  1. The first thing that I used to do was reach for coffee in the morning – tips in the blog guys! However now I grab two glasses of water before even reaching for my first cup of coffee, once I get the coffee, I make sure that it’s fair trade coffee and I’ve skipped the sweetner or sugar.
  2. Organic and wholemeal products where possible
  3. Using natural remedies for your health if possible – like honey and lemon instead of lemsips that kinda thing
